UnPlagiarize Support

Email support@vibecoredigital.com and a person will read it. Settings → Report a problem opens a message with the version you are running already filled in, which usually saves a round of questions. If a rewrite came out wrong, use the Report this output link on the rewrite itself instead: it sends the excerpt and the reason straight to us.

This page covers the browser version. The Android and iOS apps work differently in three ways that change most of the answers below, so they have their own support pages.

Accounts

Why do I have to sign in? The app on my phone does not ask.

Because a browser cannot prove it is genuine and a phone can. Android and iOS carry a hardware-backed statement that a real, unmodified copy of our app is calling us; a browser has nothing equivalent, and it is the surface anyone can reach with a script. Asking for an account is what makes the free tier defensible here. It is not a data grab: we process your email address and nothing else about you.

Which sign-in should I use?

Google, Apple, or an email address and a password — whichever you already used in the phone app. If you have the app, use the same one: the same credential reaches the same account, and your credits and Pro are simply there. If you sign in a different way you will land on a different, empty account, and Google, Apple and password sign-ins with the same address are three different accounts as far as the sign-in service is concerned.

The sign-in window did not open.

Google and Apple sign-in open a pop-up, so a pop-up blocker stops them. Allow pop-ups for this site and try again. The app says so explicitly when it detects that, rather than showing a generic failure.

I used Sign in with Apple and hid my email.

That is fine. The relay address Apple gives us is a real, working mailbox, it reaches you for support mail, and it is stable — so hiding your address on the web and on your phone still lands you on the same account. We never see your real address.

I forgot my password / my address is not confirmed.

Use the password reset link on the sign-in screen. To confirm an address, sign in and use Settings, which can re-send the email; there is a short cooldown between sends, because the sign-in service rate-limits them hard.

Does signing in carry my documents across?

No, and this is deliberate on every platform. Your documents never leave the device or browser they were written in, so there is nothing on our side to move. Use Settings → Document backup to write a .unplag file you control. That file works in both directions: a backup exported on your phone imports into the browser, and one exported here imports into the phone.

Purchases

How do I buy credits or Pro here?

You cannot, and that is on purpose. There is no checkout on this site. Credits and Pro are bought in the Android or iOS app, and what you buy there works here the moment you sign in with the same credential. The plan screen in the browser shows you what you have and what Pro would add, and nothing on it blocks anything.

I bought Pro on my phone and the browser does not show it.

Check that you signed in here with the same credential you use in the app — that is almost always it. If it is the same one, open the phone app once so it can re-confirm the purchase, then reload this page. If it still has not arrived, email us with the date of the purchase and we will look it up. We never need your card details to do this.

Is there a “restore purchases” button?

There is nothing to restore in a browser. Restoring means asking a store for purchases made with your store account, and there is no store here; your purchases follow your account, so signing in is the whole of it.

How do I cancel or get a refund?

In the store you bought it from, not here. A subscription bought on Android is cancelled in Google Play → Subscriptions, and refunds go through Google Play’s refund help. One bought on iOS is cancelled in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on the device, and refunds go through reportaproblem.apple.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running until the end of the period you have already paid for. If the store cannot help, write to us.

Do credits expire?

No. Credits are a one-time purchase and stay until you spend them, on whichever device you are signed in on. Anything the app has already worked out for you stays visible whatever your balance is.

Privacy

Are there ads on this site?

No. No banners, no rewarded videos, no advertising network, no advertising identifier, and no analytics or measurement scripts. The free version of the phone apps shows advertisements; this does not. There is nothing here to consent to and nothing to opt out of.

Where does my writing go?

Your documents stay in this browser, with the reports and rewrites saved against them. Text is sent to our server only when you ask for a cloud check, rewrite, explanation or page reading, and it is not kept as a record. The one thing that is held is the finished result, for up to an hour, so that a request interrupted by a lost connection can be handed back to you instead of charged to you twice; Settings → Delete my server data clears that too. The offline rewrite and the local self-check run entirely in your browser and send nothing at all. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is sent and what is kept.

Why does the site run a reCAPTCHA check?

It is the browser’s stand-in for the device attestation the phone apps get for free, and it exists to tell a real person apart from a script. It scores how the page is used and tells us nothing about who you are. It never sees anything you have written.

How do I delete my data?

Settings → Delete all documents clears the documents in this browser. Settings → Delete my server data erases what we hold: problem reports, the record of the purchase this browser claimed, which days it called in, and any cached result from an interrupted request. It does not touch your credit balance or your documents. Ticking also delete my account removes the account, your email address and your balance as well, and signs you out. Settings → Export my data downloads a copy of what we hold.

Using the site

My documents disappeared.

They live in this browser’s storage, so clearing site data, a private window, a different browser or a different computer all start empty — there is no copy on our server to restore, because there never was one. This is the same promise the phone apps make, with the same consequence. If you have a .unplag backup, Settings → Document backup will import it; if you do not, please make one now.

Why does every scan cost, when it is free on my phone?

Because a browser has no on-device text recognition worth using. On a phone the first reading of a page is done locally and free, and the cloud is only a fallback; here there is no local pass, so every page is read by our server and every scan is metered. The site says so before the button that spends it, rather than after.

The site says a different number of checks left than my phone.

Your free daily allowance belongs to your account, not to each device, so both should agree once both have talked to the server. Reload the page, or reopen the phone app, and they will line up. Counts reset at midnight UTC.

The score looks wrong.

A low score is not proof that your work is original, and a high score is not proof that it is copied. The site searches public web sources only. It cannot see subscription databases, print-only material or unpublished work, and it is not connected to Turnitin or any institutional system. Treat the sources it shows you as the useful part, not the number.

The rewrite changed something it should not have.

Quotes, citations, numbers, URLs and proper nouns are protected before a rewrite runs and put back afterwards. If something still came out wrong, use Report this output on the rewrite. That is exactly the case we want to see, and it sends a short excerpt rather than your whole document.

A check failed or found no sources.

Web search occasionally fails, and the site says so rather than quietly returning zero. Try again in a few minutes. Your daily allowance is not spent on a check that failed.

Everything on every screen says I am not authorised.

That is the sign-in token failing to refresh rather than each feature breaking, and the site raises a banner saying so. Reload the page; if it persists, sign out and back in. If it still happens, email us — that one is ours, not yours.
